3.21 Music fest discovery!
Post Taverne Tour, New Colossus and SXSW, a playlist featuring the international artists we've fallen in love with this year
No dancing around the fact that there are infinite things to be both devastated and enraged by right now, but the main way we’ve found solace over the last few months has been by immersing ourselves in live music —
Specifically at music festivals like Taverne Tour (Montreal), New Colossus Fest (NYC) and SXSW (Austin), where we’ve found peace in the rowdiest, sweatiest sense in rooms packed with individuals who really want to make the world a better place, all in pursuit and support of connection, ~global~ community, creativity and creation—which, we’ll say it again and again, matters now more than ever.
In celebration of discovery, the universal truth that is music and the call to action that’s art, dropping in a playlist featuring bands from around the world that we’ve recently fallen in love with live from Canada, Lithuania, Ireland, Australia, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Scotland, Wales… and even a few NYC acts we didn’t even know about (how embarrassing!) until we stumbled into a bar and caught them in Austin last week.
We’re all in this together. Listen, enjoy and—beyond music therapy—consider combatting feelings of helplessness and hopelessness by taking the time to do just a few small good things. They do add up, after all.
Lots of love. Hope you have the best weekend ever <3
