IT APPEARS WE HAVE HAD A SCHEDULING SNAFU.
After lining up this week’s SETLIST star a few weeks ago, life happened (as it tends to), and it turns out our featured artist was a little too busy destroying stages across the country to get something in before deadline, to which we say… uh, yeah. Don’t blame you. That actually makes perfect sense.
After all, while we do desperately depend on artist-curated itineraries to plan out our weekends (WHAT OTHER RESOURCES ARE THERE?!?!?!?!), the music itself is always the priority and tour always takes precedence. Plus, the only thing more dangerous than texting and driving is SETLISTing and driving. Lives are at stake here. We can’t take that risk!
That said, you didn’t think we’d leave you hanging, did you? In place of plans, we’re sending a FRESHHH PLAYLIST your way, packed with new-ish tracks from some of the many, many local artists we love.
ALRIGHT! Structure is overrated anyway, so go forth and ~*~*~be spontaneous~*~*~ (to this specific soundtrack, of course). We promise we’ll be back, back again, same place…same-ish time… with a real-life itinerary for you next week.
HAVE FUN! BE SAFE! BE KIND! And plz remember that you’re pretty great. And hey, we like you a lot <3

MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Back in March, we set up three NYC shows for Icelandic band Karma Brigade—whom we met in Reykjavik last November—and watched and listened as essentially the entire city proceeded to fall in love with them. Brooklyn musician and photographer Gigi Nettles, who met the band at their EWEL show that weekend, even later traveled over to Iceland to work with them, filming a stunning music video for the group in what is pretty much the best-ever example of cross-continental collaboration. Check it out below, then mark your calendar for September 7/8/9/10 because THE BAND IS COMING BACK, BABY! And we’ve got an incredible set of bills (+ several air mattresses) set up for when they make the return to their second home. <3
CLASSIFIEDS ARE UPDATED! No Jersey and Debora Rivas both need guitarists // Otomatikman, Goalie Fight, Wetsuit and Union Fool all need drummers // and more more more! Check out all our 2023 listings with details and contact info here, and post your own freeee ad in order to make music magic happen right now.
BTW! SAM HERE with a heads up that I’ll be hosting on WFUV tomorrow from 1-4. Tune in, as always, at 90.7 or wfuv.org :)
